Saturday 6th June, at Fotodiego shop in Avellino I held a workshop about the new Sony mirrorless cameras. I used a lot of brands, Nikon, Canon, Fuji, Panasonic, last year I fell in love with the Sony A7s and the Sony/Zeiss Lenses. I think that Sony is the most technologically advanced brand in the photo/video industry, and the partnership with Carl Zeiss made the Sony system even more special.
Sony hit the point when released the first FullFrame Mirrorless camera with interchangeable lens, the A7. This kind of cameras feature all the power of a full frame sensor as in a DSLR, but in a small body, furthermore Sony adds amazing features never seen on a DSLR like IBIS (image stabilization on sensor), Silent shutter, and a lot of video features.
Sony is the world largest sensor manufacturer, and pushed in the A7 series some of the most amazing sensor like the 12MP sensor of the A7s with very high ISO levels, or the new 42MP BSI of the A7rII.
When, less then a year ago, I brought my first Sony mirrorless there was only two full frame Sony FE lenses, a 35mm and a 55mm, now Sony offer 12 native FE lenses plus 2 Zeiss Loxia and 2 Zeiss Batis, featuring focal from 16mm to 200mm.
